SUMMERTIME

Have a fantastic summer everyone

If you missed picking up report cards yesterday they are now available in the office to pick up 10-2pm until July 15.

Office Hours are Monday to Thursday 8-2 / Friday 8-1

Office will be closed July 15-August 24

Office Re-Opens August 25, 2010.

Grad Packages including Diploma, Picture, and DVD among other things available last week of August.

Leadership BC and Steps for Success

Steps for Success

On April 27^th, Leadership BC’s Team Vision partnered with Ladysmith Parks Recreation and Culture and Ladysmith Secondary School to launch a half day student conference, titled “Steps for Success” for grade 12 students .

The steps for success day began with an Olympic speaker Mike Lewis who addressed the entire Ladysmith Secondary School in the school gym on the importance of dedication and commitment to any life goal. Following Mike Lewis’s presentation the grade twelve students moved to the Frank Jameson Community Center where each student participated in two out of four workshop choices that they pre-registered for: Leadership & Team Building, Healthy Living, Financial Planning and Self Awareness.

The workshops that were facilitated by enthusiastic local Ladysmith and Nanaimo volunteers were designed to provide the participants with goal setting skills to help them develop a successful and healthy lifestyle.

Team Vision members Alicja Khun Khun, Joanne Schneider, Lorelei Komick, Lesley Parent and Katie Sims were thrilled with the opportunity to work with the diverse group of community sponsors and supporters and today’s youth, our future community leaders to make this day a memorable success.
