The following list was generated by our former Principal Mr. John Blain when asked about what he saw as some of the main developments in Student Support Services at LSS over past years.

A reflection:

- The development of student support of designated students in the classroom - Senior Alternate program leading to graduation:  in 2006 the first graduating class of 8 students

- the implementation to common adaptive curriculum and programs

- Drug and Alcohol worker based on site

- A youth care Worker based on site

- Public Heath nurses based on site

- Public Heath nurses and counseling developing a peer tutoring program directed into the elementary feeder schools

- Community Link Program ( Vancouver foundation grant) the integration of special needs 18 and 22 years of age students

- Youth At Risk meetings held to help coordinate outside agencies to support youth in the community

- Chemanius Band Adult Program - Chamanius Band Connect program

- Grade 7 transition

- Wireless connections, to enhance students connecting into the network to be able to use technology for support their learning

- The development of the Essentials program
